ISO Soldering gear/equipment.
I picked up a soldering kit for my small diy jobs around the house, but have a couple questions on other tools that I might want to add for future repairs.
Torch - I had 2 propane torches I was using, and both had simmilar but different style tips on them. The first one I think was just a generic torch for general use, the other was in an old soldering kit someone gave me. The latter seemed to burn alot hotter than the first one. Is there a certain tip that works better than others?
Gloves - What do you reccomend for gloves? I was using leather work gloves making the assemblies, but kept having to run pieces under the faucet to cool them off.
Besides the basics, what else would you reccommend?
What I have so far: Pipe cutter, mini pipe cutter, propane torch, 1/2 brush, sand paper, solder/flux, cable type pvc cutter.
I'd also recommend getting a Kevlar fireproof soldering cloth.
