iron pipe fittings

Can you tell me what is meant by malleable, in reference to pipe fittings?

The def makes no ryme or reason, guess they wanted a cool word to use at the time.

Fix it right the first time, so you won't have to fix it a 2nd time.

At one point it refered to the type of Iron used to make them...... doesn't apply much anymore
