installing swing glass shower door

Ok I have taking care of one bathroom (just removing the shower sliding doors and adding a rod instead), now the master bath. I want to take out the dated shower sliding doors, and put in a swing glass door. Being that I'm new to DIY. Will it be too hard for me to tackle? Should I hire someone to install it? Any tips or input is greatly appreciated.

A lot depends on the kind of door---the kit doors with aluminum frames aren't to bad. The instructions are often hard to follow---Unemployed son in law must be the technical writer.

The heavy frameless doors are a bit advanced for more many DIY sorts. Those are safest left in experienced hands.

Diamond bits are used to drill porcelain tiles---carbide and a small hammer drill work well with softer ceramics.---Mike---
