Installing reverese osmosis filter system - with a garbage disposal?

The istructions for my Wher25

Do not mention anything about intalling the system under a sink w/ disposal.

As you can see from the pic, there is a disposal here and then the plumbing continues below the floor where there is a drum trap in the laundry room downstairs.

I need to instal the drain adapter into the plumbing, however, I have no room presently to install the adapter piece -which is sitting on the floor over the cabinet in the picture. I have no idea how to do this... it's important to keep the drain line upright for gravity.

I realize it would fit if I could replace that PVC you see, with a 90 elbow and come over directly below the intlet of the disposal and then just run a short vertical piece and put the adapter inline there... but I don't know if that's exceptable to use 90s and all

Installing reverese osmosis filter system - with a garbage disposal?

Mine is installed in the basement, up high near the ceiling
I drilled small hole & ran the tubing outside into my greenhouse
In warmer weather I fill a 55g drum for watering plants

I'd look into a connection in the basement for installation
Getting under the sink to change the cartridges is a PIA

Interesting thought SD, thanks. I'll consider it...

As far as installing under the sink should I choose that route... I suppose I could use a saddle-drain kit on that long, slanted PVC you see in the picture, that should solve my problem no?

I do think I would like to install this under the sink, at least for now - I will be redoing the room below the kitchen very soon...

Does anyone have any opinions on the saddle drain idea?

they pass here when used with the airgap built into the faucett that came with that ro system. there is a 1/4 red from reject that attaches to faucett airgap then the 3/8 black line off faucett airgap that attaches to drain in link or the one on photo.
