installing a lav sink without clamps
I am replacing a lav sink in my bathroom.
I think this is the model of the new one: http://www.wayfair.com/superbrowse.p...=4998227&img=1
It is a drop in sink but it has no clamping mechanism of any kind on the underside.
The old sink I removed and my new sink in another bathroom has clamps that hold it in place.
Should I return this sink and get one that clamps or otherwise what is the correct way to install this sink and make it stay in place?
what do the instructions say to do? most drop ins like that need to be glued down. the ones i used to install came with a small tube of adhesive. because i couldn't come back the next day i used to either glue them and set something on top of them so they didn't move while i connected the drain and waterlines or i would connect everything and then glue them down. there was enough give that i could lift them up slightly and squirt the adhesive under the edge. in your case i would glue it down and then connect it the next day.
@DannyT - instructions say to 'apply sealant' but it had none included.
I may just return it and get one like my other one. It seems like having it clamped and glued down is a much better solution.
