I have a job coming up where I need to install french drains on the back of a property, my problem is that the back of this property is surrounded by trees, and in order to place the french drain I am going to have to cut down tree roots and my big worry is that in the future these roots will eventually grow back and obstruct the french drain. Is there any way to keep the roots from doing this?
For your situation with a french drain copper sulfate is a lot cheaper than Root-X. There is another way just get as much scrap copper as you can cut it into small piecesand scatter them in the drain. Roots hate copper it will kill the roots.
