install gas stove to existing propane line

Kitchen has hookups for electric AND gas/propane stove. How do I switch from electric to the gas/propane hookup for new gas stove?

If there already a shut off valve and a flex line there just connect the gas line.
Just make sure it's set up for the type fuel your using, natural gas or propane.
Instead of a 220 volt line your new one may have just a 110 volt plug to run the clock and timer.

Just jumping in with joe, IMPORTANT the stove you are installing must have the correct fuel.

Natural Gas and Propane are different pressures.

Completely different gases.

If you already have the gas stove, it can always be converted. Orifices and pressures need to be adjusted by somebody who is qualified. Easier to get the right appliance the first time though.

I want to switch from electric stove to propane stove. The seller of the house said there was hook up for both behind the stove. I removed electric stove and behind it on the wall is a metal box (about 4 x 4 inch) with the plug for the electric stove and also a thick line with a blue plastic end hooked to the side of the metal box (other end runs behind the cabinets). How can I tell it's actually set up for propane? Should I take the front of the metal box off? Thanks.
