Install 60's crane sink

Hi.

I have a good-looking old crane sink (1950?)with the faucet molded right out of the porcelain and very handsome handles. I was lucky enough to pick up a cool cabinet. Question: I've seen these sinks installed and there is a metal rim around them. I don't know how to find that or how it really stands in place. Any ideas? References? Links? Thanks y'all.
