insinkerator drain keeps losing putty

a few years ago i installed a garbage disposal in my new double sink, and it worked great for a year or so, but it started to leak around the drain flange.

i reinstalled it recently and noticed that after some heavier use, some of the putty has worked it's way out and the flange moves slightly when it runs.

my guess is maybe i am torquing those three screws too tight when i installed, and not leaving enough putty. I wish there was a gasket i could use instead of putty

can anyone help me figure it out before i rip it out and try again.....

thanks
