Incoming water pressure

I connected a water pressure gauge to my furthest faucet and am reading 118 psi. Is this too high? Should I have a regulator installed? Thanks.

Yes, anything over 80 is excessive. 75 is ideal. Has it always been that way? What made you think to put a gauge on it? If it suddenly spiked, that means you already have a PRV, but it's failed.

Water company installed new lines and valves. Water pressure seemed a lot higher so that's what made me check it.
