Illegal to sell in California

Why there is a warning stating that it was illegal to sell those sharkbite products in California because they contain material causing cancer, so what is the actual fact behind ?

Probably because Sharkbites are made of brass that contains some lead. There are several other places in the U.S. where certain brass valves and fittings cannot be legally sold.

Move to another state that uses common since when making the rules.
It's ok to sell faucets that are brass, brass shut off valves, sell carpet and padding that off gas, adhesives that off gas. But not a fitting that may touch the water directly by about 1".

I just bought a new wallet, there was a piece of paper in it that stated may cause cancer in mice, the plastic air filled bags that something I ordered from Amazon had the same warning. All due to CA coming up with there silly restritions.

We dirty hippies can buy shark bite fittings. I have no trouble finding them. You all are just hatin' because we had 75-80 degree weather last week and my tomatoes are still producing.

If you have no trouble finding these fittings, the place that's selling them is breaking the law. And being born and raised there, I don't hate anyone in California, I pity them. I prefer to live in the United States.

I recently saw a notice in a Washington supply house that said if a certain brass fitting (Ford fitting) was purchased before said date and returned, it must be restocked in a special location. It doesn't meet current lead free standards.
This particular supply chain has stores in several local states and they of course ship to other branches to fill orders. Hard to say which states have these silly laws....
