Identification of hardwood floor

I'm not a pro expert, but it appears to be maple. Doesn't look like oak.

i think its maple to but i'm not a expert. Oak usually has more rings in it (if thats what its called) Do you see the second plank from the top. On the left side those lines in it. Oak usally has a lot of those through out it. Maple is much cleaner if you will. But i'm not a expert. The reason why others might not have answered is because its hard to tell from a photo. Because it could be high grade oak and not maple. Find a oldtimer to stop by and take a look at it for you.

I have installed several thousand sq. ft. of hardwood flooring and that picture does not look like oak. The grain looks a lot like my maple kitchen cabinets.
