ice maker water connection

Was about to pick up a DIY kit to connect our ice maker to a water line. Noticed almost all the kits have self-piercing saddle valves. But, saw this on the back of my fridge. (see pic).

It specifically says not to use a self-piercing, but to rather use just a 1/4" saddle valve only. I don't think I've seen such a kit.

Any help appreciated.
