Ice Maker question

We have a 3-4 yr old Whirlpool side by side. The ice maker just stopped working.

Checked the on/off arm. Ice is in the ice maker but it seems like it just won't discharge it.

Looks to me like time for a new icemaker. any suggestions? Any other tips where to check?

Ice Maker question

I feel like a fool. When I was looking at it before I took out a little piece of ice that was frozen to it. I don't know if that was it but 2 seconds after entering this thread I heard the ice drop and refill.

I don't mind feeling like a if it doesn't cost me anything!

Ice Maker question

Nothing wrong with that everybody does that kind of stuff. Hang around for a while you' ll see your question was a very good one. I'm with you call me anything you want if it don't cost me.
