That's a shame. Would you consider providing us with some information that we might be able to use in an effort to help you remedy the problem?

Start with:
  • Brand
  • Symptoms
  • Your experience level with plumbing

That's a start. You might want to take a look at the connection between the back of the fridge and the little tiny flexible waterline that comes up from the floor or out of the wall. There's a small nut on there. See if that's the source of the leak. Wherever the little waterline originates in your home, there should be a shutoff valve. Might be prudent to shut that off until you determine the source of the leak.

Was your fridge moved recently? For cleaning or anything?

Well, now you have something to check on. That little connection I told you about.

Here's a little different approach

Do you know what the line to the ice maker is made of. If it is poly or plastic you might think of replacing it to copper.

Back to the ice make all ice makers are basically the same. Water come in through a supply line and to a water valve. Some ice makers have dual valves (Ice and water in the door). Locate the water valve and disconnect power. Remove the connector on the water valve and check the ohms across the two terminals. If you get nothing then the valve is bad if you get around 20 ohms then it's time to check the valve for restrictions. Even with alittle leak you should make ice.

Good luck brother

I just had this same issue with my fridge. It was a leaking solenoid on the dual water inlet valve. I'm waiting for the replacement part to ship.

Open the access panel(s) behind the unit and have someone turn the water supply line on (assuming you've turned it off, which is a safe assumption if you've got a leak!). In my case, water started coming out of one of the water inlets, your leak may be in a different area.
