I think there is a hole in cast iron pipe from toilet

HELP HELP
I have a leak coming from that cast iron pipe coming from the second floor bathroom. Where should I start to look first for where there might be a leak. Do I start in the basement because it is dripping by a window. The toilet all of a sudden started to sound different. Like air in the line or something. How do you cut that cast iron?

At some point all that old cast iron was bound to leak.
I would start by checking to see if the lines just plugged up and run a snake down it to clear it out.
Not sure how you could see it leaking by a window.
If it's leaking on the second floor why would you be looking for a leak in the basement?

You can rent a chain cut to cut it. Home Depot may have one for rent.

Realy need more info than this. Is this a first floor over a basement or is this a second floor over a finished ceiling? How do you know it is leaking from the pipe? Can you see where the leak is coming from? Any pictures of the area in question?
