I need helping repairing this floor drain!

We have a floor drain in our utility/laundry room. Over the years, the screen or grille over it has came off and been lost. My wife is wanting to put down peel and stick tile in here and wants the drain fixed. This is a very commonly used entrance into the house by visitors so she is wanting to make the room look better.

Looking at it, it looks like the screws holding the cover on broke. I have looked all over and cannot find one the same size. I have half a mind just to level off the imperfections in the concrete and somehow epoxy a larger screen over the hole.

I have no idea what options I have here so I am asking here for help...What can I do to fix this and get it ready for her to tile?

Sort of similar... and if you can not find a grill that would fit those screws (they are probably brass and a screw extractor could likely remove them)...

I've several times been able to find the black plastic grills at a big box that I could cut/fashion to fit and screw down with small tapcons, or overlay if your flooring/covering material will be as thick.

Re: I need helping repairing this floor drain!

I found this website that has a wide variety of sizes available. I can't speak to their quality or anything but maybe they've got the one to fit.

Also just a note

Most people forget to pour some water in there every 6 months or so to stop the sewer gas from coming up. Otherwise the p trap dries out. A little oil also makes it last longer.

Can't say I have ever put water down this drain unless cleaning up a leak from water heater, washing machine, etc. Thanks for this info!
