I am going to replace the old cast iron sewer stack in my basement to Pvc but need some help. There will be a sink in front of the stack and I want to add a drain line for the washer which is to the right . The main line down is 2" then goes to 4" which then goes into the floor. I want to cut it where I marked with the red lines and rebuild from there. Should I stack 2 tees near the bottom for the sink and washer drains? Or is there a better way of doing this? Also, do i need to have a vent coming off like the 2nd pic? The line goes up through the kitchen wall, tees to the kitchen sink, then up and vents out of the roof.
I've always thought this one was odd, there is a pipe leading away from this that turns up to the kitchen floor where there is nothing above. It is just laying there disconnected.
Any input is appreciated!
There was already a sink there, I guess I'm just adding a drain for the washer. The washer was draining into the sink. Im about to start framing everything in soon and have gotten rid of the cement sink to replace with a nice sink/cabinet setup, and installing a washer outlet box. Im in southeast wisconsin, does anyone know code for this area?
