Hydro Jet

have discovered a sewer smell coming from the bathtub. Had the main line scoped with a camera and determined its pretty backed up with typical gunk and roots are intruding in the pipe outside the house. Plumber is recommending a Hydro Jet which I agree with, but is recommending i get the entire house done not just the main line. Price is huge and I'm not sure whether i should believe the entire house needs to be done. Every other plumber I've called said I'm getting ripped off.

Anyone have experience with this?

I would only scrub the mainline with a root cutting head. Followed with another camera inspection.
