HWT recirculation loop retrofit

I want to add a HWT forced recirc loop to my existing home. I want to do it with a dedicated return line to the HWT, so as not to pollute my cold water with water from the hot line.

I am capable of doing the mechanical aspect of the job, but want to confirm the system design and required parts

so I'll need a pump, an aquastat (I want the pump to run when the water at a certain point in the loop gets to a predetermined temp)
I believe I'll need a anti-flowback valve on my cold water supply, also. or is this typically built into HWT's? Will I need an expansion tank on my cold side also?

any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!
