How to Replace shower shut-off valve

The right shut-off valve is leaking. The valve leaks even when it is completely closed and also leaks when it is open to the max.

This is a picture of the entire faucet and valve system.

I haven't been able to find a similar valve at Home Depot.
How would you recommend removing and replacing the valve?

Thanks!

Assuming you actually need a shutoff valve (I doubt that)...
you should be able to rebuild what you have with new packing and maybe a new seat washer.

If not, the simplest thing is probably to replace it with another shutoff valve.
Probably located somewhere else and with some repiping work as well.

I misread your post but I'll leave this stuff anyway:

A new tempering diaphragm might fix the shower valve but that's probably not worth the effort to find out.

By following the directions that come with the new MOEN or DELTA you buy.

As you have most of the wall torn open already... you're most of the way there.
This will also make fixing the broken off shower arm problem easier too.
