how many people trust CPVC ?


i don't. simply looks too shabby ... just curious.

Nothing wrong with CPVC. No reason not to trust it. It has been used for many years, and is incredibly DIYer friendly. Personally, I'd install Flowguard Gold CPVC over any other CPVC.

The only downsides I can find with CPVC are when I compare it to some of the attributes of PEX. Specifically, not being able to bend it (more fittings) and it isn't resistant to breakage in freezing temperatures. But the same case could be made against copper.

how many people trust CPVC ?


I always find that after years the hot side of the system tends to get more brittle..... maybe the newer stuff is better, but it seems like it tends to snap really easy when its old.

I don't trust it. I try and use copper as much as possible.
