how to get a cap off of a water pipe?


hey we have recently bought a new dishwasher and we have installed it but we cant the cap off of the water pipe! we have tried pulling twisting but it wont budge. and we are afraid it will break if we pull harder it has been there for many years so we are thinking its stuck!

HELP!! please

its the cold water pipe. i assumed it was installed for the possibility of installing a dishwasher, as everything else was there.

if it is a galv. cap it should thread off,but it may be corroded on

Most dishwashers require hot water, not cold... Just double checking since you said cold...
