how to fix leaky shutoff

I have a leaky shutoff going to my dishwasher. I'm guessing I need to replace the gasket, but the stem won't unscrew to get to it. Do I just need to force it harder?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'd say we need a bit more input from you. A picture of the problem would help a lot.
