How Do I Safely Remove This Fitting Please?

I need to temporarily test water flow using a 3/4" and 1" output from service line into house (for sprinkler / irrigation system).

How do I safely remove existing reduction fitting from valve body shown in photo? I'll try using larger wrenches but I think threads are frozen and need to be broken free.

Can I heat valve body or will I risk damaging valve / valve seals? Should I tap on fitting with hammer or will that risk leak between valve body and plastic incoming water line?

Also, I'd like to be able to shut off water at main in event of emergency. I need a pentagonal (five-sided) socket for this. Where do I get one of these and is there anything I need to know about actuating valve at main?

Thanks for help.

First disconnect at water meter then reducer at valve. Two wrenches. One on reducer, one on valve. Be careful to keep the valve from moving while wrenching so the plastic pipe doesn't get stressed.
