I have an isolating ball valve in my bathroom which is not isolating the water and is leaking.
I have turned off the mains water in order to replace it. Please can i have some advice on how to do this!
Water is still leaking from the valve and i am concerned that a vast amount will flow from the pipe if i take the existing valve out.
Do i need to do anything to prevent the bathroom flooding?
Also do i need to do anything when i turn the mains water back on in order to ensure the central heating works properly and in order to avoid an air lock?

Thanks

Ayuh,...
Open a faucet that's Lower than the 1 you want to work on,...
The system will drain down, Only to the level of the opened faucet....
Be sure to open the faucet on the line you're working on, after you've opened the 1 below it,...
That'll break the vacuum,+ allow everything to drain...
