Hello all,
I'm planning on putting a full bathroom in my basement.
With the current hot water heater setup we have (see picture attached), we already experience a lack of hot water if someone is taking a shower and the dishwasher/washing machine is running.
I'm wondering what my options are for upgrading our hot water heater setup so that the problem doesn't increase with the added shower in the basement.
The hot water heater is heated by an oil burner and I really don't want to revert to an electrical hot water heater.
I also want to steer clear of tankless hot water heaters because of the large amount of electricity they consume, but I would certainly consider putting in a single point-of-use tankless heater for the shower if that was my only option.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
JC
