My hot water heater has sprung a leak. The leak is in the tank. Is there a solution or powder that i can put into it to seal up the leak. Like the stuff they make for car radiators. I know they make it for furnaces also.
No, not for potable water. You can repair/replace allmost evrything on a water heater except the tank. Once that goes, the heater needs to be replaced.
Good Luck!
Mike
replace the hotwater tank,if you get a pro to install it expect price to be in the 400-650 dollar range.of course it depends on how big the tank is and warranty, and on where you live.
