Hot water and crossed valve issues
So I recently moved into a new house and I have realizing that in the master bathroom the sink is backwards, you have to turn the left one on for cold and right for hot. Also, when I hooked up the washer I realized that they messed up there, I have to switch the hoses in order to get it right.
Secondly, the half bathroom downstairs and the washer are the closest things to the water heater, like within 3 feet, they get REALLY hot water like instantly. When it comes to the kitchen and the upstairs bathrooms it takes awhile to warm up and even with them all the way to hot, they only get warm, not really "HOT."
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Could the crossed valves or whatever it maybe have anything to do with why the water won't get hot enough in the other locations? I have checked the water heater and it is on the HOTTEST setting it can be on, as well as lighting properly when I look through the little inspection window. Any suggestions or ideas would be really helpful, I really want HOT water upstairs!
Thanks a lot,
Zach
