got a problem with my heating, the radiators upstairs are always hot and we have no problems there. but the ones downstairs just seem to do what they want. sometimes they work and heat up (all over not just at the bottom) and sometimes they just don't doanything and stay cold. Even though the ones upstairs are boiling out.
Also my boiler has started making a loud popping noise.
You might have balance valves on the return lines that have to be adjusted to limit the hot water to the upstairs loop and send more Hot water to the lower level. if you find the vales and attempt to adjust them I recommend you mark the starting point so you can go back to square one if need be. Or maybe you have a 2 zone system and the downstairs zone is not working.
Not sure what type of system i have, i've given in and just phoned a plumber seeing my daughter shivering in the living room is no fun. However since i phoned the radiators downstairs have kicked in and are now boiling hot. just dont get why they work sometimes and not others
