Hot/Cold Supply

I have the option of bringing up the hot & cold supply anywhere in a new wall. Does it matter? Do you have any suggestions if it doesn't?

Hot/Cold Supply

hopefully its an inside wall, and I like to bring the pipes up to be as close to the fixture as possible.
