hooking up softner.. why not to kitchen sink


Can i have the water come from the softner. To the. Kitchen sink?

You can , but most people do not like softened water to cook with.

Really?? In every home I've owned that had a softener, the only thing that wasn't softened was the outside spigots.

I've never once seen it not supply softened water to the whole house except the outside faucets.
Why would you wants rust and spot on the dishes and fixtures?

hooking up softner.. why not to kitchen sink


My plumber hooked it to everything but outside and cold kitchen sink line so it tastes good to drink yet

New residential homes in my area now require a hard water line dedicated to the kitchen and hose bibs

Thanks.. im here in northern nj..im used to city water that doesnt require any treating...im doing ajob where they hHave a well..watersoftner is nodt hooked to kitchen. ,sink but goes to everything else..i called the compny and she said that some people dont like to cook with or drink the treated water??..i changed it to treat everything befor installing new kitchen
