Hissing sound in the basement taps

Hoysala Newbie Join Date: Dec 2009 Posts: 1	Hissing sound in the basement taps I just moved to a resale house which is about 12 years old. In the last couple of days I noticed that there is some hissing sound (in bursts, not continuous) in the basement taps when it is turned off. It is an unfinished basement and it is the laundry basin's taps that are making noise. Is it something I should get it checked ? I let both cold and hot water for sometime and closed it.
