hePEX & Sharkbite Fittings

I'm installing a Runtal baseboard radiator. It will be on it's own zone. I am wondering if using Sharkbite copper to pex fittings would be ok, as opposed to using pex crimp on fittings.

So your assistance is appreciated. :)

If its just for heating, I'd say sharkbite fitting is ok. But if you can afford it crimp them. I know the crimping tool is like 300$, Maybe you could rent one:thumbsup:.

Well, if I were to use the tool for pex I think I would use the one that is cone shaped which spreads the pex dia to accommodate larger fittings, thus reducing back pressure and allowing full flow.

This part of it will be buried so I can't risk a future leak. :(

Ya, If its underground I wouldn't use shark bit fittings. your better off crimping them. just my opinion:(
