help, washer overflowing drain


my washing maching is in my basement its drain line sits in a 2 in pvc pipe about 4 feet off the floor this pipe connects to the main waste wate line going out of my house (the pvc pipe comes directly off of the main line and is only 5 feet or so long) prob is every time i run the washers the pvc pipe backs up and overflows the pvc pipe is completely clear and i have snaked the main line i dont know what the problem is

help, washer overflowing drain


sounds partially clogged to me. how far down the main drain line were you able to snake. how long has this been happening. do you anything else that is draining slow.
