Default Help - Thermostatic Valve won't turn off

Hi there,

I have to replace my cartridge in my kohler 679 1/2" thermostatic valve. I have to wait 5 days to receive the new cartridge, but I can't seem to shut off the water with the integral stops. When I turn the main water line back on, water comes pouring out from both the hot and cold ports. Since I can't re-install the old cartridge I am without water!

Kohler manuals have been no help and I think Kohler is closed for the 4th of july weekend.

I turned the integral stops all the way in (clockwise) and then a quarter turn counter clockwise and the water does not shut off as the manual suggests

Anyone ever work with a kohler integral stop? I am at a loss!

thanks!
