Help on repairing bathtub
Hello, I'm trying to fix my bathroom tub faucet, it's an older style apartment. I've replaced the o-ring on the valve stem before and I think it's the seating. But It looks like it may be a big job cause I don't know if I have to cut the tap out of the wall or not. If possible I can post a picture of my faucet and if someone can give me a tip on how to replace the seating that would be awesome! Thanks!!

Pictures are always good.I assume you've changed the washer as well as the o-ring?

Help on repairing bathtub
Sounds to me like your right in suspecting the seat.I'd check with the landlord/owner before trying to get the seat out.The seat can be changed while the tap is still in the wall but if it's too corroded to come out a new tap would be in order.Landlord may also have the step/seat wrench that will be needed.
