help pvc & cpvc or metal pipe?
I have a triple tree, has 3 knob places..hot, cold and converter for shower or tub, looks like brass, definetely a heavy metal. Can I use pvc and cpvc to run the hot and cold to it and from there up to the shower head & down to a toe faucet or do I need to use steel pipe. I use to have a shower in the bathtub but took out the shower. It was ran with steel pipe (not copper). Will pvc and cpvc be strong enough to support the triple tree? Would I have to support the pvc or will the faucets and shower head be all the support it needs. I'm also running a pipe down to a toe faucet; that's why I'm using the triple tree, I hate stepping into a shower that isn't just right.
One other thing....Should I tile befor cutting the holes into the shower or do I cut the holes through the hardibacker before tiling? I have access to the plumbing area which ever way it needs to be done.
