New to the forum and I needed a proper solution on how to approach this issue. While working on a wall in the kitchen I found that the ventilation pipe for the kitchen sink is rotting away. I have a two story home and I first discovered the problem on the second floor, which I was working on something that was not related to this. I had to do some work on the first floor wall and then I saw this as well:
The bigger challenge I'm finding is replacing the T joint, which is showing signs of corrosion and this is behind the kitchen counter.
All of that obviously needs to be completely replumbed.
I would go with white plastic PVC or black plastic ABS pipe, and go all the way back to good solid drain pipe connections. You can use Fernco or else no-hub connectors to transition from one material to another.
