Help with Nat. Gas Line for Grill
I just purchased a new Nat. Gas grill

It is advertised as a 54,000 Main Burner BTUs, but manual says each burner is 15,000 and the Rotisere is 12,500 BTUS so not sure how comes up with 54,000 BTUs when (15000*3 = 45,000 + 12500 = 57000), but that is not the point of my question.
I connected the grill myself....I'm very handy, but just want to make sure I have the pipe sizing right.
I have a 4 inch pipe coming from the meeter that goes out to my pool (yes 4 inches!) and the normal 1" inch pipe going into the house for other appliances. The gas company had to install a new meter when I had the 4 inch pipe for the pool heater installed.
When I had the 4 inch pipe installed, I asked the plumber to "T" off a 3/4 pipe and cap it for one day when I install a nat. gas grill.
...now is that "one day".
The run from the 3/4 "T" to where the grill will be is 12 feet.
I installed an elbow from where the cap used to be and ran 3/4 pipe for 10 feet, then a reducer from 3/4 to 1/2, and ran another 2 feet of 1/2 inch pipe. Then a 1/2 "T" ( one end to rise up 4 inches, and the other down as a "garbage catcher". Then an elbow from the 4 inch riser to go over a beam for 18 inches, then an elbow to go up to griill. This last elbow is a reducing elbow. It takes the pipe from 1/2 inch to 3/8. The 3/8 then goes up 12 inches, to a 3/8 valve, with another 2 inch 3/8 pipe so I can connect a nipple. Then I simply make my connection to my grill with a 3 foot flex line.
NOTE: the grill comes with a regulator and as you can see form the manual, the connecton to the grill is 3/8.
Can anyone tell me if this is fine? or am I somehow shorting my grill of enough gas? Should I go 1/2 inch all the way up including the valve and then only have the flex line as the 3/8?

Do you know what pressure your gas line is after the gas company meter/regulator?
unfortunately I don't.
I will tell you that the grill came with its own regulartor.
Sizing gas piping is all about friction loss determined by the available pressure at the service, required pressure at the appliance, length of run between the two, and its easy to calculate the line size. If you can either call the gas company and see what pressure they provide on your street, or go buy a cheap water column gauge and connect it to the grill line and take a reading without any other gas appliances running, that would help a lot. I am concerned you don't have pressure much over 4" W.C. because of the large 4" line you mention going to the pool. A large line like that is to keep friction loss down if your service pressure is weak. What is the gas demand of your pool heater? and how far is the pool heater from the gas service approximately?
With your gas grill, the manual says the minimum inlet pressure is 5" W.C. Your most likely all set for line size capacity since you are so close to the 4" main. Your 10 feet of 3/4", ~5 feet of 1/2" pipe and ~3 feet of 3/8" line under 54,000 BTU's, the pressure will drop 0.15" W.C. which is barely anything. Now, if you were running 100 feet of 1/2" pipe, then you would be starving the grill for gas and would need to run a 3/4" line that 100 feet. As long as you are getting 5" W.C. or higher pressure at the service, you will be all set for the grill piping.

Seems your concern is the pool heater.
Let me add this information.....the pool heater will never be on at same time as Grill. I barely ever use the pool heater, and when I do, it is early in the morning. I took that into account when I tied into that line.
Does that make a difference about your thought of the grill being "starved"?
Does the grill light & burn OK ?
seems too....I just don't know if I'm "missing out on BTU's".

If you hooked up to the grill, turned all the burners on full blast, and the flame is consistent and not sputtering or cutting out at the end of the burner, you are getting enough gas flow.
