Question

Help me identify this shower faucet stem/cartridge please (PICS)

Now before you suggest I replace the whole thing, let me say this. I can not afford to replace the whole thing right now and my whole house's water is shut off until I figure something out. (afraid to shut off only the upstairs because of a leak last time I did, had to replace the packing in the valve)

There is a crude letter "P" stamped into the plastic. Other than that there are no identifying marks. Oh, on the brass part there is H,C,S,T i think.( hot cold shower tub)

Thanks for reading.

Have you taken it to your local hardware store? I haven't seen that one before. try looking for price pfister or peerless. just because of the 'P' . Good luck.

I don't see any identifying marks. I am afraid this is a cheapie and I will end up replacing the whole valve. Here is a picture of the handle.

Thanks for your help.
