help! leaking shut off valve.

i have a bad shut off valve that will not cut the water supply to a toilet off. i want to replace the valve but the supply line coming through the floor is a plastic flexible tube instead of copper.

the valve looks like its held in with some metal ring crimped on it to hold it, instead of a pressure fitting and nut. i never replaced one with these plastic tubes so im kinda lost on what to do. if it was copper i can do it no problem BUT this is the first time i have seen this so. NEED HELP!

Is the plastic flexible tube about the same diameter as a 1/2 inch copper pipe?It could be PEX.Easy to work with but you need some special tools.

A plumbing supply house should have the new valve with a supply line already attached, you will still need to get the tool and ring to attach it after you cut the old one off
