Help with "grohe style" shower temp

We bought our home a year ago. In our basement is a shower. It has nice faucets but no manual. While we have guests and would like to use it, we have been unable to as it is just too hot. In spite of repeated attempts to adjust it we can't make it tolerable. Top handle controls shower head. Middle controls body jets. I think bottom is temp. It has a button on the side of housing to press but no matter what we try it is still too hot. The pics below (upload turned them sideways) show the valves. I have NO PLUMBING experience. Can someone help me?Also, if you can recrecognize what brand this is, I would appreciate it. There are no markings on any parts.

Very likly the anti scald spool is sticking or not adjusted right. SOe have a set screw to adjust them.
If you can figure out the brand there should be directions on line.

The escutcheon and stem on the volume control looks like American Standard, but there's nothing currently on their website that looks like it.
