I have a kitchen faucet (less than 3 years old) that is behaving strangely. Yesterday, if I pushed the lever directly towards cold or warm, it would not turn on. I almost had to push the lever in a circular, counter-clockwise direction to "catch" whatever turns the water on, and it would work.
Last night I unscrewed the decorative cover and turned what I think is the "cartridge" about 1/8", it did not seem to fix it, though it did not make it worse.
This morning, same thing, I had to sweep the lever in a circular motion to turn the faucet on. However, now it won't turn off when I pull the lever back to the off position. It seems like it is the hot water side that won't shut off fully. I turned off the hot water to the sink and it turned off, so it seems like the cold shuts off but the hot does not.
