Handicapped person's bathroom

My friend's brother is handicapped and lives with him. He has rails installed around the toilet for support, but due to weakness, his brother cannot support himself well and flops down on the toilet hard. This has been causing his toilet mounting bolts to break. Is there a way he can better support the toilet or is there a better replacement toilet available? All I know about the floor is he lives in a manufactured home and the floor is linoleum over OSB. Thanks for any help. Also, he said his brother's "aim" is not good and was wondering if tile would be better than linoleum on the floor? Thanks again!
