I have a gurgling sound coming from my baseboard heat.
No leak, but it is annoying.
How do I stop this?

I have not bled the system.
Not sure how to do that.

it is a weil-Mclain system.

Their should be a gauge on the boiler. It should read about 30psi, that is probably fine if it was off your relief valve would be blowing.

To bleed the system you need to pop the covers off the baseboard and their should be bleeders on some of the elbows. Crack those open until you get straight water, no air. If you have radiators as well those should have bleeders also. Sometimes baseboard doesn't have bleeders. In that case you need to purge the zone from the boiler and it gets a little more involved.

Thank you for the help.
Turns out the plumbing/heating guy turned off the gas to the unit and that started a host of problems. He was just over for an inspection.
A buddy of mine is coming over to replace a few parts.

Turning gas off and pipe gurgling are non-related. Gurgling results from air in the pipes, and that happens when system was partially drained for repair/maintenance. Afterwards, the system needs to be refilled properly. Once makeup water supply is turned back on, one needs to go to the bleeder valves on every baseboard run, working top to bottom, and open them a bit to let the air escape. This gets rid of *some* of the air. After this, need to get the pump running, so water flows - again, top to bottom, start working the bleeder valves. crack one open, it will sputter a bit, close when only water flows. Wait a few seconds, try opening again. Repeat till gurgling stops. Do the same at every baseboard.
