Glazing a Porcelain Bathtub - where to start??

My brother recently bought a very old fixer-upper house with an old porcelain tub in it. For his housewarming gift I offered to remodel the bathroom; I am gonna put in a new sink/vanity mirror with nice countertops, probably put some new tile down and repaint it all.

We both agree that the bathtub should stay if we could clean it up. I did a quick google search and found this porcelain tub reglazing guide which mentions something about dipping the tub.

I think I am reading that wrong? Will I need a larger tub or bin to do the glazing in? Can you not spray something on?

I figure someone here should be able to at least point me in the right direction, or maybe have a link to a better guide than the one I found!

I recently spoke with a professional shower/tub reglazing company. They do the complete job in place for only $299 for a full unit.
IMHO, only a pro will give you satisfactory results. Get references and check them.

Wow 300 sounds really reasonable, and kinda makes me not wanna do it myself

Thanks for the youtube suggestion too, I will definitely check out some videos and tutorials before I hire someone.
