Gerber toilet leaks

I have a Gerber toilet and it is leaking at the gasket tank to bowl. I have put a new one on and can't seem to get it right. I have pulled it apart at least a dozen times to reposition the gasket, it still leaks. Is that gasket to slide just over the flush valve or is it to go over the nut also ? It only leaks when you flush it.

Gerber toilet leaks

If your'e talking about the donut/spud gasket, it should slip over the big nut also and fit up against the bottom of the tank.. At least that's how i do it. try putting some plumbers grease on it to help it position itself and seal good when tightened. I put it on both sides of the gasket (inside and out).
