That is a clean out plug that is probably located at the base of a drain stack

Not directly to that fitting. It isn't designed for that. You could cut in the proper tee above or below it. The next two questions you need to answer is where does that pipe go? Is it a vent or a drain line?

yep a clean out plug......:yes:

I'll check it out but I'm sure It's a drain because its right below kitchen.

My vote is for cutting a tee in above the cleanout.
