Unhappy GE GXSL55F Under Sink filter question

I have a GE GXSL55F Under Sink Water Filter System and I am replacing the filters for the first time. The instructions remind me to change the batteries so the "timer" can be reset, but I can't find the battery case. I've googled the manual for the battery case and I have no idea where it is...any guesses or actual knowledge on this subject? BTW, I did not find the manual.
Completely confused
